Pillars Health Group's Tewksbury location treats the whole person, not just the symptoms, offering compassionate care in a warm, hopeful environment built around real life. Full-day and half-day programs address mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), plus substance use disorders like alcohol and opioid use, often together. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and multiple weekly schedules help adults build lasting recovery around work, family, and daily life.

Blend Therapies for Lasting Change

Care blends evidence-based therapy with peer support, helping adults replace unhelpful thought patterns with healthier coping skills. Master's-level clinicians draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and EMDR therapy to address trauma, mood disorders, and substance use, while group therapy adds shared experience, accountability, and connection toward meaningful, long-term change.

Choose the Right Schedule

The full-day program provides an immersive schedule, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the highest level of outpatient care for those with more severe needs. The half-day program offers three weekly windows, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., so working clients and caregivers can balance treatment with work, family, and other commitments.

Sustain Progress after Treatment

Aftercare planning begins before the program concludes, mapping out next steps rather than leaving clients to figure it out alone. Referrals for continued therapy, medication management, or other community resources connect each client to the next right level of care. A structured transition plan means treatment ends with clear direction and clients aren't left to navigate next steps on their own.

Process Trauma with EMDR
Process Trauma with EMDR
EMDR therapy gives clients a structured way to process traumatic memories without having to narrate every detail out loud. Available at the Tewksbury location specifically, it works alongside cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for those whose PTSD or trauma history hasn't responded fully to talk therapy alone.
Choose Hours That Work
Choose Hours That Work
Three half-day windows, morning, midday, and evening, along with a Saturday full-day option, let clients fit treatment around a job, classes, or caregiving instead of choosing between them. That much flexibility makes consistent attendance realistic even for a packed week, rather than requiring anyone to rearrange their whole schedule.
Address Both Conditions Together
Address Both Conditions Together
Adults facing both a mental health condition and a substance use disorder are treated for each at the same time, rather than being referred elsewhere for one or the other. This integrated approach is designed to lower relapse risk and support a more complete recovery than treating either condition in isolation.
Find Peer Support at Every Stage
Find Peer Support at Every Stage
Peer specialists with their own lived experience work alongside clinicians throughout treatment, offering perspective that comes from having been there. Once formal treatment ends, an alumni program keeps that connection going through ongoing events and peer support, so long-term wellness doesn't have to feel like a solo effort after the program is over.
