About Thresholds Center for Mental Wellbeing - Ravenswood
Recovery sometimes begins with being aware of self and understanding the need to receive professional help. At Thresholds, located in Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, individuals can find outpatient mental health and substance use services in a nonjudgemental clinic setting. The center provides a safe and compassionate space where individuals and families can receive guidance, and start making meaningful changes while continuing daily life activities.
Caring For Women With Unique Needs
The center offers wide range of services, from outpatient counseling, to more structured support. Programs include mental health assessments, individual and group therapy, crisis services, medication management and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Specialized programs support young and single mothers as well as women veterans dealing with military sexual trauma challenges. Through trauma-informed care and creative arts therapies, clients gain the ability to effectively channel their emotions through arts.
Strength-Based Community Support
Care extends beyond regular therapy sessions. Case managers and care coordinators connect individuals and families to housing, education, healthcare and other helpful community resources. Every individual receives personalized care plan based on their recovery needs, combining strengths-based and proven approaches to support growth and maintain a healthy well being. A sliding fee scale is available to make services affordable, with discounts based on family size and income. The program promotes stability, resilience and lasting recovery for individuals and their families.

This center does NOT offer MAT for opioids and is unable to treat patients receiving MAT for opioids.
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage.
