The Brain Injury Center

The Brain Injury Center takes an interdisciplinary approach to brain injury care with coordinating across different stages of diagnosis and treatment. They provide neurological rehabilitation for child and adults with brain injuries and other brain-related conditions across their Texas locations. The care team treats traumatic brain injury, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, and headache disorders through neurological, behavioral health, and rehabilitation services.

Guide Treatment with Diagnostic Testing

The clinical team begins care with an evaluation and diagnostic testing to identify each client’s needs and guide treatment. Testing can include quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG), ambulatory EEG, videonystagmography (VNG), cognitive balance testing, and brain imaging. Based on the results, client’s can access intensive inpatient and outpatient care with magnetic e-resonance therapy (MeRT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), vision therapy, neurofeedback, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with treatment guided by their individual needs.

Connect with Additional Support

As treatment progresses, patient care coordinators can connect clients with additional specialists and therapies through the center’s medical network when needed. These services can include neuro-optometric vision therapy for changes in visual processing and eye tracking, as well as magnetic peripheral nerve stimulation (mPNS) for chronic pain related to injury, surgery, or nerve damage. Clients can also access physical, occupational, speech and language, and vocational therapies to support mobility, daily activities, communication, and returning to work.
