About SEARHC - Sitka Behavioral Health Clinic
This clinic is one of several SEARHC locations serving Southeast Alaska. The Sitka Behavioral Clinic works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Care includes psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapy services such as individual, group, and family sessions. Services are provided at SEARHC offices, in community spaces like schools or libraries, and through telehealth by video or phone.
Cultural Values of Alaska Native Communities
They treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and substance use involving alcohol or opioids. Care may include intensive outpatient programs (IOP) addressing biological, psychological, and cultural factors rooted in native community values. For opioid use disorder, SEARHC combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with behavioral therapy.
24/7 Helpline in Crisis
SEARHC operates a 24-hour helpline staffed by master’s-level mental health therapists for people in Southeast Alaska who need crisis support. Family support services and in-home visits may be included as part of care. Alaska Native people work in partnership to provide healthcare for their communities. The clinic is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
This center offers MAT, but does not list specific medications for treatment. Contact the center for details for specific MAT medications.
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
