About Resilient Health - Douglas
Building resilience is central to the services offered at Resilient Health - Douglas, where children, youth, adults, and families can access mental health, substance use, and trauma-focused care through in-person and telehealth services. Operating since 1971, the organization provides counseling, autism spectrum services, family support, and housing-related programs. Resilient Health also offers transition services for teens and young adults moving into adulthood.
Counseling and Therapeutic Arts
Resilient Health delivers care through group counseling, with 1-to-1 and family sessions available when needed. Counseling addresses behavioral health, mental health, and substance use challenges using a trauma-responsive approach. The organization also provides expressive therapeutic arts and art therapy, combining creative activities with evidence-based practices. YYouth with autism spectrum disorder participate in services that focus on social skills, life skills, and community functioning.
Family Support and Adult Transitions
Participants may receive family and caregiver support as part of their care plan while engaging in counseling or other services. Teens and young adults ages 17 to 24 participate in transition-focused services that address emotional regulation, relationships, achievement, purpose, and healthy behaviors. Adults may also receive housing support services that help them find, obtain, and maintain affordable housing through programs that include Permanent Supportive Housing, Flex Care, and Temporary Living Programs.
