About Ohio Psychiatric Services and TMS Center - Lancaster
A psychiatric practice in Lancaster provides medication management, counseling, TMS, and SPRAVATO for depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia, insomnia, and dementia. Ohio Psychiatric Services and TMS Center begins care with psychiatric evaluations that help providers determine whether treatment may include psychotherapy, medication, or both. Counseling is available for adolescents and adults and can also address substance use concerns, with psychiatric evaluations and counseling offered through telehealth.
Therapy, Medication, and TMS
Counselors use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, mindfulness training, and art therapy to address specific concerns during treatment. Psychiatric providers prescribe medication, monitor response and side effects, and adjust doses during scheduled follow-up visits. The center also provides TMS for depression and OCD. Depression treatment typically includes 36 sessions, with patients attending 5 days per week for sessions lasting less than 20 minutes before returning to normal activities.
SPRAVATO for Resistant Depression
Adults with treatment-resistant depression may receive SPRAVATO (esketamine) alongside an antidepressant when previous medication has not provided adequate relief. Patients self-administer the nasal spray in the office under a healthcare provider’s supervision, then remain for a 2-hour observation period. Treatment begins with 2 visits per week during the first month, decreases to weekly visits during the second month, and continues once every 2 weeks in later months.
