About Northeast Health Services - Salem
Northeast Health Services in Salem, MA brings therapy and psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults in the Essex County community. Located in Salem’s historic downtown district, the clinic sits steps from the waterfront and Derby Wharf, with easy access from Derby St. and Lafayette St. The outpatient clinic offers therapy, psychiatry, medication management, and telehealth for concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, and ADHD to trauma, eating disorders, substance use disorder (SUD), and more complex conditions like bipolar and psychotic disorders. Clients can access counseling and psychiatric support within the same practice, making it easier to coordinate different parts of their mental health care.
Therapy Grounded in Personal Goals
Their clinicians take an individualized, collaborative approach, getting to know each client’s experiences, needs, and goals before shaping care. Treatment may draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-focused care, and mindfulness practices. Salem clinicians also bring experience in motivational interviewing, trauma-focused CBT, holistic practices, and supporting behavioral concerns and emotional dysregulation. Individual therapy can help clients manage symptoms and develop practical ways to handle challenges in daily life. The office is open Monday–Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., with early morning, evening, and weekend appointments also available.
