About Merakey South Gulley Road
Helping people with autism build communication, confidence, and practical independence, Merakey South Gulley Road is a therapeutic and educational autism services center for children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. They address communication needs, behavioral and emotional concerns, social development, and challenges affecting learning and everyday life through applied behavioral analysis and specialized developmental care.
Strengthen Skills through Practice
Their applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services build listening, imitation, conversation, reading, perspective-taking, and other functional skills. Specialized therapies, family involvement, transition services, independence coaching, and pre-vocational training help people apply progress at home, school, work, and in the community while preparing for greater independence.
Build Confidence for the Future
Located along South Gulley Road, this center is part of Merakey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people, families, and communities. Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward by strengthening communication, self-direction, confidence, and fuller participation in community life.
