About Merakey Bereford Drive
Helping people with autism strengthen communication, everyday skills, and independence, Merakey Bereford Drive is a therapeutic and educational autism services center for children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. They address communication needs, behavioral and emotional concerns, social development, and challenges affecting school, work, relationships, and daily life through applied behavioral analysis and specialized developmental care.
Build Skills for Daily Life
Their applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services develop skills ranging from attention, listening, and imitation to reading, conversation, and understanding others’ perspectives. Specialized therapies, family involvement, transition planning, independence coaching, and pre-vocational training help people apply these skills at home, school, work, and in the community while supporting individual strengths and future goals.
Prepare for Greater Independence
Located along Bereford Drive, this center is part of Merakey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people, families, and communities. Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this location, they carry that mission forward by strengthening communication, practical abilities, confidence, and readiness for greater independence.
