About Heights Behavioral Health
Located northwest of Stude Park, Heights Behavioral Health treats adults with mental health conditions, trauma, substance use disorders (SUD), and behavioral addictions at their outpatient center on Yale Street in Houston Heights. Day treatment (PHP) runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Evening intensive outpatient program (IOP) sessions run Tuesday through Thursday from 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Texas residents can attend virtual IOP, and clients can often begin treatment within the same week.
Individualized Therapy and Recovery Mentoring
Their 90-day individualized intensive program (IIP) begins with up to 10 hours of individual therapy weekly. Clinicians use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, and neurofeedback. A certified sex addiction therapist leads treatment for gambling, pornography, and sex and love addiction. Clients also receive group therapy, psychiatric care, medication management, and nutrition counseling. Recovery mentoring increases as treatment hours decrease.
Flexible Scheduling and Daily Comforts
Adults, executives, and working professionals can attend day treatment, evening sessions, or outpatient therapy while living at home. They offer couples therapy, monthly family intensive weekends, and peer recovery mentoring. Clients attending full-day programming receive chef-prepared lunches and access to comfortable group spaces. They serve Downtown, the Galleria, Memorial, and surrounding areas. Heights Behavioral Health accepts private payment and provides superbills for possible out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
