Located in Richmond's West End near Carytown, the Fan District, and Ginter Park, FCCR Radford delivers outpatient care for individuals recovering from drug and alcohol dependence. Centered on intensive outpatient programming (IOP), the facility provides structured treatment that helps clients identify triggers, manage physical cravings, and build coping mechanisms to carry into their everyday lives.

Co-Design a Roadmap to Recovery

At FCCR Radford, their multidisciplinary team works directly with each person to map out a strategy that fits their life, mixing clinical tools with realistic goals. They know that recovery is never a straight line, so the plan can change as the person does. If a tactic isn't working at home, or if new stressors pop up midway through, the care team pivots the approach, keeping the client in charge of their own progress.

Receive Care That Accommodates Work, Family, and Home

Intensive outpatient treatment gives people a structured level of care while also letting them sleep in their own beds and keep up with responsibilities like work or family. Rather than spending all day in a facility, clients attend therapy sessions a few times a week. With this kind of setup, they can try out new coping skills in their environments, then bring their challenges and successes back to their group and therapist to refine what works best for them.

Build a Future Beyond IOP

Finishing intensive outpatient treatment is a major milestone, but staying on track requires support and accountability. As clients work to reach their goals, the clinical team helps design personalized aftercare plans, connecting them with off-site 12-step groups, SMART Recovery, or peer communities for young adults and LGBTQ+ individuals. They also keep in touch with clients long after they leave, so they are encouraged to progress and thrive.
