Carroll Counseling Center of Maryland - Mt. Airy

Aiming to provide high-quality, integrated, multi-specialty psychological and psychiatric care, Carroll Counseling Center of Maryland offers outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. The center provides individual, couples, family, and premarital counseling, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychological testing. Psychologists and board-certified psychiatrists work together through internal referrals to ensure coordinated care. The Mt. Airy office also provides trauma treatment, cognitive assessments, and testing for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning difficulties.

Support for Mental Health and Relationships

The center helps individuals address a broad range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, psychotic disorders, phobias, substance use, eating disorders, and sleep disorders. Therapists also support clients dealing with grief, stress, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, behavioral concerns, developmental difference, memory changes, and thoughts of self-harm. When appropriate, the center collaborates with community physicians to support continuity of care. Board-certified psychiatrists provide medication evaluations, ongoing medication management, and follow-up appointments, while therapists assist clients with parenting concerns, communication skills, and rebuilding relationships after infidelity.
