About Behavioral Framework - Rockville
With a mission to lower barriers and increase access to high-quality care for youth diagnosed with autism and their families, Behavioral Framework - Rockville provides assessments and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and teens up to age 15. The Pathways program provides diagnostic assessments. In-home ABA therapy involves parents, siblings, and other family members, while in-clinic care combines one-to-one therapy with structured peer activities and school-readiness practice.
A Path to Diagnosis
The Pathways program evaluates autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental concerns, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Assessments can examine cognitive and adaptive functioning, social-emotional development, social communication, attention, academics, executive functioning, behavior, and family dynamics. Families receive a comprehensive report with recommendations for next steps. Behavioral Framework uses assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).
ABA in Daily Life
ABA therapy focuses on communication, social, behavioral, self-care, and daily living skills through individualized treatment plans. Intensive ABA therapy may range from 10–40 hours per week, typically scheduled across 4–5 days with sessions lasting 3–6 hours. The team also offers specialized programs for toilet training, feeding, and verbal behavior, plus school consultation and collaboration with speech and occupational therapy providers. Therapy supports meaningful, long-term progress and greater independence.
