Founded in 1996, Gray Wolf Ranch recently joined the Newport Academy family and is an evidence-based mental health treatment facility for young men. Gray Wolf Ranch has treated more than 1,500 young men with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. Here, they combine clinical treatment, wilderness therapy, experiential programming, and academic instruction. Their women’s home in Kirkland, WA offers similar programming. Newport offers a highly structured residential program, with personalized treatment plans based on both gender and the specific issues patients face—whether that’s trauma, gaming or tech addiction, eating disorders, substance use, or other mental health issues. Personalized And Family-Wide Recovery

Patients begin treatment with an assessment to properly gauge their needs and treatment requirements. From there, a personalized care team that includes counselors, nurses, a psychiatrist, and dietician continues to meet the needs of each teen. Newport Academy uses attachment-based family therapy (ABFT) to help rebuild familial relationships.
