NewStart’s IOP meets in a therapeutic group setting 5 days a week, 3 hours per day. Once individuals are ready to step down to a lower level of care, their outpatient program provides individualized and 1-on-1 care with physicians, certified counselors, and addiction treatment specialists on a monthly basis. The ongoing individual care may involve medication-assisted treatment along with medication management for any co-occurring or mental health disorders. Furthermore, Meriter NewStart provides outside therapy facilitation, resources connecting patients to their recovery communities, and other on-going support throughout the recovery process.
