Blending evidence-based care with withdrawal management and vocational training through a full continuum of care, treating addiction using a 4-phase approach.
About Lexington Counseling Center
Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) provides treatment services for adults, with a full continuum of care throughout 30+ locations in the Kentucky area. Their outpatient care is ideal for individuals who have recently completed their 1st phase through a residential program, or for individuals seeking treatment who are not in need of 24-hour monitoring. Their Lexington Counseling Center provides intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and ongoing outpatient therapy for adults struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
IOP typically consists of 2-3 days of treatment per week from 3-5 hours per day, providing structured support as clients attend to their daily lives. Clients work with dedicated and compassionate professionals to develop a personally tailored treatment plan that best supports their unique needs. Same day appointments and care are often available, with services provided in person and virtually.
ARC offers a unique and holistic approach to addiction treatment with a 4-phase structured program. Phase 1 is the stabilization phase, providing a medically supervised detox and residential care, with medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and regular 1:1 and group therapy sessions blending evidence-based methods with the 12-Step recovery program.
Clients gradually progress to phase 2, typically after 30 days, referred to as the recovery and life skills phase. Clients in phase 2 have transitioned from residential to an outpatient program like Lexington Counseling Center, and are offered personalized case management services with housing and vocational support available.
Phase 3, taking action, involves community service opportunities and specialized vocational or educational training, in addition to continued peer support, case management and outpatient therapy. Phase 3 focuses on life skills training, developing coping mechanisms, peer mentoring, and spiritual support, and continued therapy in both individual and group settings. Upon completion of phases 1 and 2, clients can remain in phase 3 as they receive regular therapy on an ongoing basis, or may continue on to an internship with ARC as part of phase 4.
Treatment at ARC emphasizes the importance of community reintegration, offering a specialized focus on furthering education and job training. Clients participating in phase 4 build their skill set through an internship program, receiving a certificate in Health and Human Services from Sullivan University upon completion. Clients are given the opportunity to carry on with their education, rolling their internship experience into an associate or bachelor’s degree program at Sullivan, and eventually a career in the recovery/mental health field.
ARC is a CARF Accredited treatment program that accepts most major insurance providers, in addition to state of Kentucky Medicaid plans.
