Located in the Creekside building with convenient access for clients throughout Chicago’s northwest suburbs, Greater Family Health Wheeling offers teletherapy, in-person or virtual psychiatry, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for a broad range of mental health and substance use conditions, as well as primary care. The 234 bus line stops 2 blocks from the building at the Dundee and Elmhurst intersection for clients traveling via public transportation. Greater Family Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare, most private insurance, and offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program for uninsured and underinsured clients. No one will be turned away based on inability to pay.
Master’s level therapists provide virtual counseling services for adults and adolescents, integrating various therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, and rational-emotive behavioral therapy (REBT). Clients can receive services for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma substance use, and more.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners collaborate with clients to evaluate psychiatric needs, manage and monitor medication, and help ensure that clients are educated about their medications. Clients can also receive other treatment options and resources from Greater Family Health psychiatric providers.
Greater Family Health integrates medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using Suboxone or Vivitrol with individual counseling and medication management as part of a holistic approach to treating opioid use.
