Located near the intersection of Summit Street and Dundee Avenue, with convenient access for clients throughout Chicago’s northwest suburbs, Greater Family Health Elgin Summit Street offers virtual and in-person therapy, psychiatry, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and peer support for a broad range of mental health and substance use conditions, as well as primary care. The 543 bus line stops just outside the building for clients traveling via public transportation. Greater Family Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare, most private insurance, and offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program for uninsured and underinsured clients. No one will be turned away based on inability to pay.
Master’s level therapists provide counseling services for adults and adolescents, integrating various therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and rational-emotive behavioral therapy (REBT). Clients can receive services for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, substance use, and more.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners work with clients to evaluate psychiatric needs, manage and monitor medication, and help ensure that clients are educated about their medications. Clients can also receive other treatment options and resources from Greater Family Health psychiatric providers.
Greater Family Health integrates medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using Suboxone or Vivitrol with individual counseling and medication management as part of a holistic approach to treating opioid use. Clients with substance use concerns can also participate in peer support, including recovery coaching and relapse prevention planning.
