Located across Highway 31 from Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, Greater Family Health McHenry offers in-person or virtual therapy and psychiatry as well as primary care for clients throughout McHenry County. Greater Family Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare, most private insurance, and offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program for uninsured and underinsured clients. No one will be turned away based on inability to pay.
Master’s level therapists provide in person and virtual counseling services for adults and adolescents, integrating various therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, mindfulness therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), strengths-based therapy, and rational-emotive behavioral therapy (REBT). Clients can receive services for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, substance use, and more.
Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners collaborate with clients to evaluate psychiatric needs, manage and monitor medication, and help ensure that clients are educated about their medications. Clients can also receive other treatment options and resources from Greater Family Health psychiatric providers.
