From detox into residential care, EMEND New Haven treats adults, including young and older adults, with alcohol or drug addiction and co-occurring anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Its 88-bed program combines medically supervised detox with 30- to 90-day residential treatment in one location for continuity.
Connect Care Through Pillars
The four-pillar approach of EMEND New Haven joins clinical care, medical oversight, community connection, and recovery work. Clinicians use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, medication management, and trauma-specific therapy. Daily routines, accountability, and relapse prevention planning shape treatment and discharge preparation throughout each residential stay.
Continue Care After Discharge
Clients stay in private or shared rooms, with shared bathrooms and walk-in showers. Alumni check-ins, peer mentorship, and recovery-focused activities regularly continue after discharge and maintain connection after treatment ends.
