The Cuan Mhuire Program, which is based on the principle of complete abstinence, works to rebuild each participant's self-esteem, self-respect, and feeling of responsibility. Treatment involves life skills, education, group and family therapy, and individual counselling. Cuan Mhuire Newey does not provide medical detox.

2 Year Aftercare Service

Participants move through a structured 12-week treatment for alcohol and a 20-week gambling/ addiction program for substance misuse. Cuan Mhuire continues to offer assistance after treatment. Their 2-year aftercare program continues to help individuals and their families in recovery. Since its founding in 1966 by Sr. Consilio, Cuan Mhuire has treated approximately 100,000 people.
