About Burning Tree West
Burning Tree West is a transitional recovery community that helps men and women seeking extended care after completing treatment at a rehabilitation center. Burning Tree West offers young adults the sober living support they need with programs that continue the therapeutic treatments that help with life long recovery. Burning Tree West focuses on students and young professionals in recovery and immerses them in the 12-Step recovery community. Burning Tree West has 4 programs which are career & recovery, college & recovery, transitional living for young adults, and young adults recovery, and each one is designed to focus on a specific path and time in life. Each client will get a sponsor selected for them by the staff. Burning Tree West’s curriculum includes a strong academic component, individual and group therapy, life skills training, community service, effective time management, and work ethic coaching. Students can take a maximum of one online class during this phase. Clients will be coached on submitting applications, selecting courses, and communicating with employers and professors. While at Burning Tree West, students take a maximum of 12 college credits per semester. Money management is taught through budgeting with a bi-weekly stipend for 3 months. Students are coached on writing resumes, pursuing careers, and continuing their educational goals as well as acquiring employment while at Burning Tree West. They try to equip their clients with the necessary tools and skills needed to transition back into society. Burning Tree West is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most major insurances.
Burning Tree West is staffed 24 hours a day to help their clients create and keep a structured sober living environment while ensuring their needs are met. Accommodations semi-private and private rooms. Clients are required to make a minimum of 3 months commitment to the center with 6 months being recommended. Burning Tree West’s accommodations are both gender and age-specific. Burning Tree West has a house manager that lives on the property, and there is a security system and recovery coaches at the clients disposal. Burning Tree West sober living charges a monthly rental fee of $1,000 a month for shared rooms with 1 other peer or $1,500 a month for a single-private room. Services included in this fee are the following: gender-specific housing, UA monitoring, weekly staff lead housing meetings, live in house manager, recovery support and accountability, and once a month community meal.
