About Benchmark Transitions
Benchmark offers a dual diagnosis program specifically designed for young adult men ages 18 to 26. Benchmark was founded in 1993 by Jaynie Longnecker-Harper M.Ed who has long been considered to be a leader in the industry of special education for adolescents and transitional living programs for young adults. "As a single parent of four children, Jaynie understood all too well that many young people, and their frustrated families, faced a lack of resources in their struggle for self-reliance. With her education, experience and first-hand understanding of addiction, Jaynie set out to provide a real-world setting where troubled teens and struggling young adults could learn to emerge into independence.”
"Benchmark has had great success with a range of complex mental health issues including anxiety, bi-polar, depression, ADHD, attachment and trauma, disordered eating behaviors, psychosis, mild autism spectrum disorders, executive functioning, and learning differences." Using a multidisciplinary approach, Benchmark offers evidence-based therapies along with recreational activities and holistic services. Residents will be immersed in a supportive environment and guided by individual counseling, equine therapy, personal growth strategies, life skills, educational opportunities, family therapy, music therapy, and so much more.
Benchmark has 2 properties for residential living. Wildwood is situated on a 52-acre working ranch and offers a luxurious 700 square foot ranch home. Panorama Ridge for Men is situated on a stunning property with all the comforts from home. Transitional living clients reside at either Cypress House or Magnolia House.
