Providence Center’s Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) helps adults in urgent mental health or substance use crises. It offers short-term, 24/7 inpatient care for people who are struggling but don’t need a hospital stay. The CSU prioritizes quick access to care—often within hours—and its focus on helping people feel safe and stable. To be eligible, clients must admit voluntarily, be 18 years or older, and not have homicidal or suicidal intent.

Build a Strong Recovery Plan

The CSU uses a recovery-focused approach, offering therapy, medication management, and group support. Staff work closely with each person to create a plan for getting better and staying healthy after leaving. Licensed professionals provide services like psychiatric evaluations, individual therapy, and help connecting to long-term support.

Settle Into a Healing Environment

Guests stay in a calm, supportive environment with shared bedrooms. The unit includes shared bathrooms, daily meals, and indoor common areas to relax. While outdoor access may be limited, the center ensures a safe, structured setting. Staff can help coordinate transportation when needed.
