Based in California, Thru Health serves clients with alcohol or drug addiction, as well as co-occurring mental health disorders or process addictions, through their virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP). Thru's program is certified by The Joint Commission and licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services.

Therapy with Peers in Similar Stages

Their program includes evidence-based therapies and focuses on group therapy to process addiction with other people. Clients move between groups to continue growing with people in similar stages of recovery and receive new psychoeducation during the process.

Clients typically meet 3 hours a day for 3 days a week. Thru's services are available from 7.am. to midnight every day of the week. Treatment tends to last 1 to 3 months, but it varies based on clients' weekly evaluations.

Supplementary Additional Meetings

Additionally, clients meet individually with a therapist twice in the first week. They can purchase additional 1-on-1, couple, or family sessions. Although Thru does not offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), they can connect clients with local healthcare providers who do use medications for treatment.
