Pine Rest Telehealth
About Pine Rest Telehealth
Through a network of hundreds of Michigan-licensed clinicians, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services provides online therapy and psychiatry for all ages across Michigan. They help clients find a clinician who fits their needs and allow provider changes at no additional charge. Their counseling addresses anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and postpartum depression and anxiety. Clients can also seek help for substance use disorders (SUD), gambling addiction, grief, trauma, stress, relationship conflict, and coping with medical conditions.
Goals Guide Each Therapy Session
Therapists work with clients to set treatment goals, then assess progress and address barriers at each session. Their training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)-informed approaches, alongside emotionally focused therapy (EFT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and motivational interviewing. After the first session, therapists recommend further treatment, and clients decide whether to continue. Most providers offer both video and office visits.
Preparing for Video Appointments
Clients attend MyChart video visits from a private location and complete questionnaires covering their concerns, health history, and medications at least 24 hours before the first appointment. Staff help test the connection and review insurance benefits. Clients obtain any required preauthorization. Pine Rest accepts most insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare, and offers financial assistance. Providers also coordinate when clients receive care through Pine Rest’s psychiatric urgent care, inpatient, residential detox, or intensive outpatient services.
