Making mental health care more accessible, Bay Area Community Counseling (BACC) provides private virtual therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families throughout California. The nonprofit clinic treats anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, addiction, eating disorders, relationship challenges, and other emotional concerns. It also participates in California Victim Compensation, helping eligible crime victims and their families access therapy while reducing financial barriers to evidence-based mental health care.

Matching Clients with the Right Support

Bay Area Community Counseling matches clients with therapists based on their individual needs and goals. Through individual, couples, family, and child therapy, therapists tailor evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and family systems therapy to help clients strengthen relationships, build resilience, and create more meaningful lives.

Expanding Access Through Community Care

As the nonprofit partner of the Institute for the Advancement of Psychotherapy, Bay Area Community Counseling combines accessible mental health care with hands-on clinician training. Licensed therapists work alongside supervised associate clinicians, helping expand access to quality care while preparing the next generation of mental health professionals. Through the Family Institute of Berkeley, clinicians also receive specialized training in family and couples therapy, strengthening collaborative care while supporting the community with affordable, evidence-based services.
