Toipumo Oy is a substance abuse rehabilitation center that specializes in the care of adult men and women and their loved ones. Toipumo Oy treats substance use disorder along with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and bipolar disorder. The 28 day program utilizes 12-Step philosophy with reality therapy. Reality therapy is a client-centered form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that focuses on improving present relations and circumstances, while avoiding discussion of past events. The Toipumo Oy program is structured starting with morning breakfast, followed by morning group therapy. In the afternoon, days are filled with individual counseling and psychoeducation followed by dinner and outdoor activities. Clients are expected to keep their rooms clean along with other light duty work activities. Family counseling is an important part of the recovery process, and clients will have the opportunity to engage in weekend retreats with family counseling and topics.
The Toipumo Oy campus is located in a scenic location along a river in Aittokoski, Sonkajärvi. Surrounded by nature, Toipumo Oy creates an atmosphere of calmness that's ideal for healing. Clients can enjoy plenty of outdoor space for walking and hiking, along with cozy private and semi private rooms.
