About The Seattle Clinic
Describing themselves as a synthesis of several essential yet often opposing values, The Seattle Clinic is a community of independent mental health practitioners serving children, teens, adults, couples, parents, and families. Clients receive individual, couples, family, or group therapy, with short- or long-term treatment options. The clinic uses evidence-based psychological treatments and emphasizes the therapeutic relationship.
Building Healthier Patterns
The team addresses anxiety, stress, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), suicidal and self-harm behavior, disruptive behavior, eating disorders, tics, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. The Seattle Clinic uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), functional analytic psychotherapy (FAP), and exposure-based treatments, family-based treatment for anorexia and bulimia, and family-focused therapy (FFT) for bipolar disorder.
Family, Social, and Relationship Programs
Behavioral parent training teaches caregivers strategies to manage challenging behaviors and improve parent-child interactions. The Incredible Years® supports emotional regulation and family relationships. Comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT) and behavioral treatment for body-focused repetitive behaviors address tics, hair pulling, and skin picking. Other programs include PEERS® for social skills and couples therapy using emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method.
