About Quandary Peak Counseling
Located southeast of Washington Park, Quandary Peak Counseling provides outpatient therapy for adults and adolescents in Denver, Seattle, and by telehealth in eligible PsyPact states. Clients can schedule individual therapy, couples therapy, consultation, or psychological evaluation for trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia-spectrum concerns, grief, relationship problems, and other complex mental health needs. Their office sits in the Virginia Village neighborhood and includes on-site parking.
Therapy Based on Specific Needs
Clinicians use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy, exposure-based therapy, trauma-focused CBT, psychodynamic therapy, relational therapy, humanistic therapy, and existential approaches. Trauma treatment may address assault, accidents, childhood adversity, occupational trauma, complex trauma, and traumatic loss. They also treat complicated grief, adolescent and young adult developmental concerns, and co-occurring substance use when outpatient therapy is appropriate. Clinicians refer clients who need detoxification or residential treatment to a higher level of care.
Sessions, Fees, and Access
Most psychotherapy sessions last 45-60 minutes, while initial consultations usually last 50-60 minutes. Clients can continue work, school, family responsibilities, and daily routines while attending outpatient appointments. Session fees range from $125-$190 depending on the clinician, and they keep a limited number of reduced-fee appointments. Quandary Peak Counseling remains out of network with most insurance plans, provides superbills for possible reimbursement, and contracts with Lyra Health EAP.
