About Interconnections Healing Center
Believing that connection is central to healing, Interconnections Healing Center provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental health care for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Founded and directed by licensed psychologist Agnes Kwong, the center considers how clients’ identities, relationships, histories, communities, and social environments shape their experiences, with particular attention to LGBTQIA+, transgender, nonbinary, AAPI, and Latinx clients. The center provides individual, couples, family, gender-affirming, process group, and support group therapy.
Many Paths to Healing
Therapists support clients with anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders, trauma, grief, relationship and sexual concerns, cultural adjustment, identity, parenting and postpartum concerns, infertility, and body image and disordered eating. They draw from emotion-focused, interpersonal, feminist, systems, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches, along with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), prolonged exposure (PE) for trauma, and radically open dialectical behavior therapy (RO-DBT).
Making Space to Belong
The center also supports clients navigating racism, homophobia, transphobia, immigration, and other forms of oppression. Gender-affirming services include ongoing therapy, surgery evaluations, and support letters, while relationship and family therapy can support LGBTQIA+ clients and diverse relationship configurations. Process groups give clients space to understand relationship patterns and practice new ways of connecting, while support groups focus on shared concerns or identities.
