Developing tools to live one's best life is the focus of Essentia Health's outpatient counseling center at St. Mary’s – Superior Clinic. They treat patients of all ages across a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, neurodiversity, OCD, and eating disorders, and also work with patients navigating grief, personality disorders, panic disorder, and adjustment challenges.
Evaluation and History
Care is centered on talk therapy and evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Essentia’s counseling service line supports individual, couples, and family therapy, and the Superior location lists licensed clinical social workers providing outpatient counseling. If medication support is needed, patients are referred to psychiatry or a psychiatric nurse practitioner rather than relying on the counseling service alone.
