Located west of Mondauk Park, Ellie Mental Health Fort Washington provides outpatient therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Clients can attend individual, couples, or family therapy in person or by telehealth. They operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday by appointment.

Therapy and Group Options

Therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based therapy, internal family systems, trauma-focused CBT, attachment-based therapy, narrative therapy, play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and dance and movement therapy. They also offer yoga, breathwork, and holistic approaches. Group programs include an LGBTQIA+ group for young adults ages 17–22, a trauma group for women ages 19 and older, an online parent-child relationship group, mindful movement for adults, and an art-based social skills group for children ages 8-12. An outpatient recovery group serves adults with dual diagnoses and addresses coping skills, accountability, resilience, and relapse prevention.

Access and Payment

The outpatient format allows clients to attend therapy while continuing work, school, family responsibilities, and daily routines. Telehealth gives clients another way to attend appointments when traveling to the office is less practical. They also accept self-pay and offer a sliding-scale fee.
