Located along Shamona Creek, Ellie Mental Health Exton provides outpatient mental health care. They offer individual, couples, and family therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, stress, relationship problems, and other mental health concerns. Clients can meet with therapists in person or through telehealth. They operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Therapy and Mindfulness Services
Therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-focused CBT, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based therapy, internal family systems, somatic experiencing, person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, attachment-based therapy, emotionally focused therapy, Gottman-informed approaches, narrative therapy, and equine-assisted therapy. They also run Foundations of Mindfulness for adults ages 18 and older. The course uses guided meditation and interactive discussion to teach meditation principles and help participants establish or strengthen a regular mindfulness practice.
Access and Payment
Clients can use outpatient therapy while continuing their usual work, school, household, and family responsibilities. Telehealth allows clients to attend remotely when an office visit does not fit their schedule or travel needs.
