About Ellie Mental Health - Aurora
The Ellie Mental Health Aurora City Center office brings 11 clinicians together, including social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists, to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and relationship concerns from age 6 through adulthood. Several clinicians also see couples and families, and some focus on LGBTQ+ clients, survivors of sexual assault or domestic abuse, and veterans and military families.
Address Trauma, Mood, and Behavior Concerns Across Ages
Clients can work through trauma, mood, and behavior concerns with methods matched to their age, goals, and comfort level. Clinicians use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Play therapy and art therapy give children and teens other ways to express feelings that are hard to put into words.
Find Affirming Support for Identity and Neurodivergence
Several therapists focus on LGBTQ+ identity, gender, and neurodivergence, including late-identified ADHD, autism, and unmasking. Others support clients with eating disorders, binge eating, and body image, drawing on Health At Every Size principles. One therapist focuses on adjusting to chronic illness, including heart failure, cancer, and chronic pain, and another is trained in Islamically integrated therapy and uses it with Muslim clients.
Fit Sessions Around Work and School Schedules
The office at 14291 E 4th Ave, Suite 200, is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with weekend appointments available by arrangement. Clients can meet in person or through telehealth, and one therapist currently sees clients online only. New clients can schedule a first appointment online or call the office directly to ask about openings with a specific therapist.
