About Denver DBT and Psychotherapy
Dedicated to providing empirically validated treatment, Denver DBT and Psychotherapy is a private practice serving children, teens, and adults through individual, couples, and family therapy. The team works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), borderline personality disorder (BPD), relationship concerns, and identity-related challenges. They also provide culturally responsive care for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients, including support with identity exploration and minority stress.
Therapy, DBT Groups, and Psychological Testing
The center provides individual, couples, and family therapy through psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Structured DBT groups build mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills, with the option to keep an outside individual therapist. Adolescent groups are age-based, capped at 8 members, and involve parents or caregivers. The practice also provides psychological testing for personality, IQ, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other mental health concerns.
Specialized and Integrative Care
Clients can also receive ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), which combines ketamine with depth-oriented psychotherapy for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, trauma, and long-standing behavioral or personality patterns. An ongoing mindfulness group combine mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), DBT mindfulness, and insight-oriented meditation. The practice offers in-person sessions and virtual care, with several adult DBT groups available online.
