The Edge uses a unique combination of counseling and high-intensity outdoor fitness training. The structured weekly schedule helps clients develop valuable life skills, tools for personal growth, and long-term behavioral change. Mornings start out with Muay Thai sessions (a type of kickboxing) followed by process groups and 1-on-1 counseling. The afternoon is reserved for holistic meditation, art therapy, and organized sport activities. The program is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, and training workouts and classes are designed to produce accelerated results. The Edge draws on multiple effective and evidence-based treatment methods, including their innovative Recovery Zones framework, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-Step facilitation, and EMDR.
