Overlooking the Isle of Palms estuary, Sweetgrass Psychiatry offers in person and virtual services for adults and children including individual, group, and family therapy, esketamine therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and primary care. Sweetgrass Psychiatry accepts a wide range of private insurance options, Medicare, and private pay.
Sweetgrass Psychiatry’s multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, PhD, master’s, and master’s candidate level therapists, and psychiatric nurses. Psychiatrists collaborate with clients to manage medication and prescribe new medications for a broad range of mental health and substance use conditions. Therapists use multiple treatment modalities, including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Sweetgrass Psychiatry typically offers esketamine, or Spravato, for adults with treatment-resistant depression, with psychotherapy following esketamine treatment. Clients are monitored for 2 hours following administration of esketamine. Sweetgrass Psychiatry also offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for adults with treatment-resistant depression, typically administered 5 days per week for 6 weeks.
