About Stoughton Health Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient Program
Stoughton Health Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient Program is a specialized mental health program for adults ages 55 and older. The program is designed to treat acute mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, as well as dementia. Stoughton Health’s treatment team is composed of multidisciplinary professionals that include a social worker, dietitian, psychologist, psychiatric nurses, and a pharmacist. They provide a range of services including art therapy, life skills training, aromatherapy, pet therapy, medication management, recreation therapy, and other therapeutic services as needed (speech therapy, occupational therapy, etc.). Stoughton Health supports clients’ families through education on disorders, medications, and coping strategies.
