About ROOTs Transition
Residing in the beautiful Utah mountains, ROOTS (Reclaiming Our Original Truths) Transition serves females ages 14-18 who have attachment, relational, and/or developmental trauma. They utilize a hybrid model of outdoor reflection and residential integration. This unique model allows them to meet the client where they are, while allowing for flexibility to shift with them throughout their journey. ROOTs believes that by integrating nature, intensive family support, and a continuum of care, they can help their clients overcome their trauma and maladaptive behaviors. Following clinical assessments to determine clients’ strengths and needs, they have the opportunity to build on skills they will learn in nature through daily practice in a comfortable home-like setting. Their ultimate goal is to build self-esteem, healthy connections, and positive goals in mind.
ROOTs Transitions home in Park City is nestled in the mountains. The home features a bright kitchen, comfortable lounging spaces, and plenty of outdoor space and access to nature. Clients have access to skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and hundreds of hiking trails. The beautiful Rocky Mountains of Park City provide a spectacular backdrop and a natural setting for healing.
