Hoving Home - California

Located in the historic Mira Monte Hotel at 127 South El Molino Avenue, Hoving Home provides residential discipleship for women age 18 and older. The Pasadena home can accommodate up to 50 women and serves women facing life-controlling problems such as drug and alcohol addiction, as well as prostitution, court cases, trauma and abuse, human trafficking, and crisis situations.

Healing, Learning, Growing

Hoving Home uses a structured program that begins with a 90-day foundation phase focused on stabilization, safety, routine, accountability, individual care, and case planning. The 6-month growth phase adds learning center classes, Biblical discipleship, life skills, emotional healing, healthy habits, work responsibilities, community, mentorship, and sisterhood. Women can then enter a 12-month transformation phase focused on leadership, character growth, job skills, financial stewardship, and independent living.

From Daily Steps to New Life

Daily life centers on shared responsibilities, learning, work, spiritual development, and community. Women take part in activities such as cooking, office work, maintenance, and Learning Center duties while developing a healthy work ethic through career readiness. The Pasadena home operates from a renovated 1927 hotel that Hoving Home acquired in 1999, when local individuals and groups helped restore their rooms and create a residential setting centered on warmth, trust, support, and healing.
