This 8-bed women's rehab facility located in a peaceful neighborhood in Brookeville, Maryland, offers an inviting home-like environment with structure and 24/7 medical and emotional support for substance use and co-occurring disorders. Their treatment includes 12-Step immersion with evidence-based and holistic approaches in 1-on-1 and group settings.

Stays at The Freedom Center typically lasts 21 days, in which during that time women can connect with peers and address the challenges of navigating addiction. Women participate in individual and group therapy, where they can address root causes of their addiction. The Freedom Center uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) with holistic approaches like yoga, mindfulness, and art therapy. Throughout their stay women will learn healthier coping strategies and gain practical tools for long lasting recovery.

Stay Connected After Treatment

Women receive ongoing support after their residential stay through The Freedom Center’s aftercare program. They offer weekly aftercare group sessions that allow women to maintain connections and share experiences with peers. They organize monthly sober activities and also offer accountability through follow-up calls. As necessary, The Freedom Center can provide referrals and resources along with assisting within recovery based fellowships.
