SierraVista Behavioral Health

Located in Johnstown, Colorado, near Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley, the center provides care for adults with mental health challenges, substance use disorders (SUD), or both. The center offers dual diagnosis treatment for clients with co-occurring conditions, addressing depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis, schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, and other chronic mental health conditions. The center also treats alcohol, opioid, stimulant, benzodiazepine, and polysubstance use.

Programs Designed for Client Needs

The center offers detox, inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment, and outpatient programs, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP). Clients participate in evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches. The center also provides motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused therapy, and relapse prevention. Life skills training, group sessions, family programming, and AA meetings further support recovery. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available when appropriate.

How Daily Life Supports Client Recovery

All programs are in a 92-bed facility to ensure smooth transitions between levels of care. Residential clients live on-site with 24/7 supervision, while PHP and IOP clients attend scheduled sessions and go home. They follow structured schedules with multiple therapy groups, individual counseling, psychiatric check-ins, and recovery education. Wellness activities include exercise, yoga, meditation, nutrition guidance, and outdoor time in therapeutic atriums or communal spaces. The center also provides transportation support.
