About Sanctuary Clinics
On a restored 1915 Victorian estate in rural Monticello, Florida, Sanctuary Clinics pairs neuroscience-based psychiatry with a Christ-centered community, where clinicians and support staff live alongside clients rather than commuting in and out. As a donor-supported nonprofit, the center keeps treatment accessible through scholarships and flexible payment options for adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and substance use or process addictions.
Progress through Structured Care
A comprehensive intake evaluation, lasting up to 90 minutes, shapes a treatment plan built around each adult's diagnosis and goals. From there, clients choose 30 to 90 day residential care or step into intensive outpatient and day treatment programs, pairing therapy with medication management and pastoral care. Specialized options such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), neurofeedback, spa therapy, and equine therapy are available for an added fee.
Recover in Shared Community
Many of Sanctuary Clinics' clinicians, therapists, and support staff live on campus alongside clients, turning recovery into what the center calls a shared journey rather than a solitary one. The 5.5-acre grounds include 250-year-old oak trees, a pecan orchard, and a pool, with single or shared rooms in the main house. Weekend excursions include kayaking and airboat tours on the Wacissa River or a trip to historic Thomasville, Georgia.
Stay Supported with Lifetime Aftercare
Treatment doesn't end at discharge. Sanctuary Clinics offers free aftercare for life, including weekly alumni and family video calls and periodic weekend seminars that bring former clients back to campus. The center frames recovery as an ongoing relationship rather than a program with a fixed end date, so clients and their families stay connected to their care team well after formal treatment ends.
