About Northern Nevada HOPES - Hopes Springs
Advocating for medically underserved groups in the community, Hope Springs provides residential bridge housing for adults 18+ experiencing homelessness through a 6-month program in single-occupancy tiny homes. Residents attend weekly therapy, case management, peer-led recovery meetings, and care for substance use disorders (SUD), trauma, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Care teams help residents work toward stable income, health appointments, and permanent housing.
Build Stability Through Treatment
Hope Springs uses Risk Reduction Support by setting realistic goals and recognizing positive steps around health, self-care, and recovery. Residents attend behavioral health groups, therapy sessions, daily check-ins, weekly staff meetings, and Healthy Money Habits (HMH) classes. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) combine medications, individual therapy, group therapy, and care for alcohol and opioid use disorders.
Strengthen Recovery Through Structure
Residents live in single-occupancy tiny homes with one person, one pet, and one vehicle allowed per unit. Hope Springs uses a three-level structure during the six-month program: Purple starts with orientation, chores, vital documents, and medical appointments; Orange continues those steps while residents secure sustainable income; Gold keeps the same routines while residents search for permanent housing. The community includes a shared kitchen, dog park, heated kennels, and garden.

Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
