About New Vitae Wellness and Recovery Residential
Established in the Quakertown community since 1983, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery offers a range of person-centered outpatient and residential services for adults, young adults, and veterans with mental health, addiction, co-occurring, or traumatic brain injury concerns. They offer 3 different residential treatment facilities in Philadelphia on Walnut and South 6th Streets for individuals referred from forensic populations who have experienced significant mental health symptoms. They also offer telehealth options for some services like medication management, individual and family therapy, and some group therapies.
Transition into Community with Support
The residential treatment facilities through New Vitae help individuals navigate returning to community living using a blend of clinical and social interventions. They primarily use recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, building on the strengths of individuals to meet personal goals. They also offer group therapy sessions, social events, care coordination services, and assistance with rebuilding family connections. Residents will work on important life skills throughout treatment, helping them gain confidence to successfully transition back into their communities.
Tailored Program for Young Adults
New Vitae's young adults program addresses all the aspects of young adults' behavioral health needs including mental health care, employment assistance, life skills development, social opportunities, and education. At a crucial time of transition into adulthood, New Vitae offers the necessary support to prepare individuals for lifelong well-being.
Understanding Care from Fellow Veterans
The center's program for veterans is set apart by their ability to employ veterans who can offer truly personalized and expert care for other veterans. The program grew from a need of greater supports in the community for veterans experiencing homelessness and now offers a range of services like treatment for traumatic brain injuries, deep transcranial magnetic stimulation, GeneSight testing, and more.
