About Manos House, D.A.R.S. Inc.
For teenage boys ages 14 to 18 facing substance use and behavior struggles, Manos House offers residential treatment paired with an on-site accredited high school. Many clients also face juvenile court involvement or school discipline issues. Long-term and short-term residential options let students keep earning academic credits while they complete treatment.
Builds Skills for Lasting Change
Treatment follows the stages of change model, guiding each client through counseling suited to his readiness to change. Clients build coping skills through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), while aggression replacement training (ART) strengthens problem-solving and social skills over a structured ten-week course. These tools help teens trade old habits for healthier choices.
Fills Days with Structure and Activity
Clients live on a single campus in Columbia, Pennsylvania, with access to a music studio, art studio, computer lab, and exercise space. Family visits, seasonal events, and community outings like rock climbing and theater performances round out the schedule. Structured programming keeps each day focused while still leaving room for connection and fun.
