About Karralika Families Therapeutic Community
Karralika's Adult Therapeutic Community (TC) provides a structured residential programme for individuals with with substance use concerns and their children under age 12. Using a modified Therapeutic Community model, it emphasises emotional and spiritual recovery. Residents follow a staged process involving therapy, education, and skills development, promoting personal growth and behavioural change. Karralika structures daily time for parents and their children to spend together.
Experience a Holistic Approach
Karralika's Adult TC adopts a holistic, inclusive framework, integrating support Aboriginal individuals, women who have experienced domestic abuse, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions and pharmacotherapy. Collaborations with community agencies ensure residents have access to healthcare, childcare, legal aid, financial counselling, and additional resources. Clients also participate in 12-Step groups, alternative Drumbeat groups, parenting groups, creative therapies, and play therapy with their children as part of their recovery journey.
