Located along 5th Avenue, Huntington Addiction Wellness Center (HAWC) specializes in structured, long-term addiction treatment for substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid, alcohol, methamphetamine, benzodiazepine addiction and co-occurring mental health needs. The program moves from inpatient stabilization to recovery housing with employment placement, then into outpatient care with monitoring and accountability.

Reinforcing Progress Through Care

HAWC uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and contingency management in a structured three-phase approach. Treatment begins with required medical or non-medical detox completed off-site then individuals receive medical evaluations and engage in individual and group therapy in a residential setting. As treatment progresses, therapy continues alongside routine drug testing, monitoring, and active employment while living in structured sober housing. Over time, care transitions into outpatient support with regular check-ins, continued therapy, and drug testing, allowing individuals to build financial stability while living in graduate housing.

Creating Paths to Independence

Founded in 2020 by individuals with lived recovery experience, the program was built around the idea that long-term stability requires more than treatment alone. Each phase connects therapy with employment and structured housing, allowing individuals to earn income, build savings, and apply recovery skills in daily life. Open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend admissions support available, the program provides consistent access to care and coordination.
