About Faith Recovery
Located along Palo Verde Avenue, Faith Recovery runs day treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient care (IOP), and sober living in Long Beach for adults facing alcohol or drug addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns. Clients attend individual therapy, small process groups, addiction education, community meetings, and family sessions. The intensive outpatient (IOP) schedule runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., plus Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also offers TMS, an FDA-approved noninvasive treatment for depression when initial antidepressant medication has not helped.
Outpatient Treatment and Daily Programming
At Faith Recovery, community meetings let clients raise program concerns, make requests, and discuss issues with staff and other group members. Addiction education groups cover addiction and recovery topics, while process groups address problems that affect ongoing recovery. Family programming brings clients, relatives, and significant others together to discuss relationships and recovery needs. Small group sizes give each client more time to participate and work directly with staff and peers. Morning and evening sessions allow clients to attend treatment around work, family, or other responsibilities.
Men’s and Women’s Sober Living
Faith Recovery has operated sober living homes since 2001. The women’s residence has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, furnished living areas, hardwood floors, and modern décor. Goldcrest House serves men in a two-story ranch-style home with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a separate upstairs apartment, a full kitchen, and a swimming pool. Loma House serves men in a similar four-bedroom, three-bathroom property in Alamitos Heights and includes a separate upstairs apartment. The homes provide 24-hour staffing, house managers, sober coaches, weekly meetings, on-site CLIA urinalysis testing, laundry, cable television, internet, phone service, central air, fireplaces, and residential locations. The program limits overcrowding and gives residents space to practice sober routines and independent living while they attend outpatient treatment.
